Our colloquium on the topic of Learning and Skills in the Digital Workplace took place on 10 November, 2023 at the Department of Digitalization, CBS. A special appreciation goes to the speakers – Iris van den Burg, Kasper Munk, and Anoush Margaryan – for their insightful and thought-provoking presentations.
Amongst other things, we talked about some of the challenges posed by the digitalisation and the ever-accelerating speed of learning in the workplace environment. We also discussed some of the current practices in addressing the challenges, shared by our guest speakers from Shell and Novo Nordisk.
Copenhagen Business School’s Professor Anoush Margaryan discussed the impact of emergent AI technologies on skill needs in work settings. She emphasised the need for an integrative – multidisciplinary, multi-method and multi-stakeholder – approach to research and development to advance our understating of the nature of skill requirements in AI-mediated workplaces.
